    Question Morey`s Products _ Additives

    Hello All,
I have found some interesting articles in relation to 'SEAFOAM' additive. This does not appear to be available in Aust.
Has anyone had any experience with Morey`s Upper cylinder lubricant and Heavy duty oil stabilizer ( two products).
They appear to exhibit similar properties to SEAFOAM.
I am relatively happy with the upper cylinder lub, a little cautious with the oil stabiliser, when I am using the APPROVED Long Life VW oil.
I look forward to your comments, thanks in advance.
    Regards John

I use Moreys's products, mainly Oil Stabiliser and Diesel Engine Smoke killer.
I wouldn't use Oil Stabiliser in newer engines. Engines that benefit from additives like these are the engines that blow a lot of smoke and burn oil a lot.

Only additives I use in new cars are Liqui Moly MOS2 oil additives and some other products from their range.
For Common Rail Diesel with DPF I use WURTH CRD Diesel Additive.

Diesel Engine Smoke Killer is good for any diesel engine without DPF.

How old is the car you're planning to use the Oil Stabiliser in?

I used a Morey's Upper Cylinder Oil Pump on an XD Falcon wagon we had converted to gas (LPG) many years ago. The oil pump was fantastic, kept the motor quite, and the upper cylinder area provided many years of maintenance free running. The valves were exceptional, guides etc all first class. Best (at the time) $250 I spent on that car....it really put the icing on the LPG conversion.

Thank you Transporter and FJ Steve,
I had intended to use the products on a 2010 Audi A4B8 2.0T Quattro and Vw Golf Gti 2007 ( or new 2010 Gti).
3K on Audi, 46K on GTi. ( all petrol)
I planned to use the upper cylinder lube, in the tank, once every three months and in the block once or twice a year ( just before an oil change).
I had planned to use the oil stabiliser once or twice a year , just before an oil change.
I am still uncertain with the use of the oil stabiliser.
If it acts like a detergent ( in the sump), I will use it just before an oil change.
If it enhances the performance of the VW recommended oil, I would be inclined to add at each oil change.
I am a (little) anal and change the oil and filter every six months. I am expecting 6-10 years of ownership.
    Best regards
    John

I would just use an Engine Flush (from LiquiMoly), and only every 45,000km unless there is visible sludge deposit. I just do oil change every 7,500km in our cars and don't use engine flush at all.

Be careful with using additives in modern engines from companies that don't make oils. If you do, and you're lucky, in the best case you will not do any harm to your engine.
Haven't said that, I'm using LiquiMoly Engine Protect oil additive in my T5's engine.
Liqui Moly is an oil company, so their additives should be safe to use in new engines.

The best you can do for your engine keep the engine clean by changing engine oil at recommended intervals taking in a count your driving conditions.
I would also recommend Interject 415Y injector and fuel system cleaner for your petrol engines to use every 3rd tank.
